All the live-in carers that are registered with The Bespoke Care Company undergo a face to face interview with Susan, which includes an induction into their role as a live-in carer. All live-in carers receive successful written and verbal reference checks and a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (previously CRB), which includes a protection of vulnerable adults (POVA) check.
The majority of the live-in carers registered with us hold either an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care and many have also completed training in specialist areas such as Dementia care. All are experienced live-in care workers. As a minimum, all of the carers are required to undertake courses in:
The live-in carers we introduce work on a self employed basis. They are paid directly by you, the client, and they are responsible for their own tax, national insurance contributions and public liability insurance.
We aim to introduce clients with a suitably matched live-in carer based on individual needs and preferences. Susan is in the unique position to hand-pick the carers following her consultation with you, the client, and her interview and induction with the carers. As part of our ongoing role we will always aim to provide consistency and continuity in the carers we introduce into the homes of our clients.
Live-in carers generally work on a rota basis, normally for two to three weeks at a time, however this is dependent on how long services are required.
