providing care enabling independence

The role of the live-in carer

The needs and requirements of our clients vary; many simply require companionship, and assistance with their housekeeping, cooking and shopping, whilst others have higher dependency needs and require help with personal care as well as assistance with their normal activities of daily living. Some of our clients may suffer from mental or physical disabilities and in these cases will require a live-in carer with suitable training and experience. We provide live-in care to older people and people with disabilities who require long term care, short term care during the recovery from an illness or operation, and respite care to allow a family member or permanent carer some time off or additional support.

All the carers we introduce to our clients are primarily recruited for their caring attitude and commitment to the ethos of our company, which is to provide a service which enables individuals to maintain independence, dignity and security in their own home environment. The Bespoke Care Company therefore seek experienced live-in carers to register with us who are patient, understanding, compassionate, non-judgemental, friendly and who have the ability to stay calm and maintain professionalism in difficult situations.

"I like my work as a live-in carer because I can help others to make their life easier. Despite an unexpected illness or accident, there are plenty of things they can still enjoy with a little help. By travelling to meet new clients, I am discovering new places and making new friendships. Thanks to the continuous further training courses I can keep up to date with my knowledge and learn new and interesting things."
